Portraiture

Andrew Armitage

“I think it did change the way I see myself in photographs. As an actor, my photos have mainly been headshots. It was nice to mix it up and be more creative.”

Andrew came into the session wanting the process to feel collaborative, giving us room to move beyond conventional actor portraiture and experiment with two contrasting treatments. The result moves between a dark, restrained monochromatic setup and a brighter, graphic use of colour while maintaining the same relaxed approach to portraiture.

On the experience: “The experience was great. I felt very relaxed in the space and during the session. We took a lot of photos and having the moodboard helped a lot.”
